Kirrie Hills Plans Progress
Plans are progressing for the enhancement of Kirriemuir Hill as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of JM Barrie's birth. A planning application has now been lodged for exciting proposals, which centre on a Neverland Play Area, but also include improved signage; an improved BMX track; and the creation of a lookout mound. Angus Council would like to gauge the public response to the range of proposed developments and anyone interested can view them in the Kirriemuir Library and Kirriemuir ACCESS Office. Any letters of representation with regard to the planning application should be forwarded by Tuesday 5 January 2010 to Angus Council, Planning & Transport Division, County Buildings, Market Street, Forfar DD8 3LG. Any suggestions or questions on the proposals can be forwarded to Lee Haxton of the Kirriemuir community planning team in the Kirriemuir ACCESS Office, or Jutta Scharnberger in Angus Council community services division at ScharnbergerJ@angus.gov.uk.

Results Summary
A report has gone to Committee indicating that the first phase of the Kirriemuir Hill improvement programme had been designed to take into account the options voiced by the community during the consultation process. A package of works had therefore been assembled to address these views and a plan of the proposals is appended to the Report.
