Angus Archives Hosts Summer Events
An Angus Archives drop-in day featuring wings and wheels and other transport material from the archive’s collection will be held on Thursday 29 July between 10am and 4pm. Visitors will be able to see letters from Arbroath midshipman David Clark concerning his experiences in the Mediterranean and Carribean during the Napoleonic Wars, a series of plans for the Forfar and Brechin Railway, an Act of Parliament for the building of a Bridge over the River South Esk, and photographs of cars, vans, trains, horse drawn carriages, ships and planes.
Refreshments will be available.

During the summer, Angus Archives is hosting a series of events. The archive team offers two guided walks to Restenneth Priory, and these will take place at 10 am on Wednesday 7 July and at 2pm on Tuesday 27 July. These are free, but those wishing to take part should book a place. Sensible shoes are recommended.
