Forfar/Carnoustie Schools Project - Introduction
Angus Council is developing a £50 million project to provide new and refurbished schools in the burghs of Forfar and Carnoustie.
The Robertson Education (Angus) consortium has been appointed as the Preferred Bidder for the project having developed proposals with a clear focus on modern educational requirements.
The consortium is led by Robertson Capital Projects and includes Robertson Construction, Robertson Facilities Management and Depfa Bank who will provide the necessary funding.
The council is moving forward in accordance with its agreed timetable, and is working towards having the first phase of new schools ready for occupation from August 2007 and the phase two schools together with the new Carnoustie High School being completed in August 2008.
